Star-Crossworded Lovers Have Puzzling Proposal

A man in Boston proposed to his now-fiance through a crossword. He commissioned a married pair of puzzle writers to create a special one to appear in the 9/23/07 Boston Sunday Globe. I would have thought this a unique idea, but I was recently working through a crossword collection from Will Shortz of the New York Times.
